Background/Education
De Munden calls herself a self-directed fine artist. She has had the good fortune to study with such well-known professional artists as Albert Handell, Kim English, Marc Hanson, Stanley Maltzman, T.M. Nicholas, Billyo O'Donnell and Ann Templeton. Regional artists influencing her education include, plein air oil painter and muralist, Dennis Yates and Cheryl Coen.
Organizations
De is currently a member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA, National), Mid-America Pastel Society (MAPS, Kansas), National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS, National), Springfield Plein Air painters (SPA, Missouri), Osage River Arts Guild (Missouri), Plein Air Artists of Colorado (PAAC), and North Missouri Art Guild (NOMO).
Exhibits/Awards
De began showing professionally in 1987 in regional art exhibits. Since then she has participated in numerous juried regional and national shows. Her work hangs in private homes nationally and internationally, as well as corporate and government offices.
